Our Mission

The Homeschool Classroom, an education non-profit organization, provides an individualized curriculum for students, ages 5-14, based on their particular learning styles and needs.  By surrounding children in a nurturing environment that boosts communication and problem solving skills, students learn to be in control of their own learning.  In the thirteen years since its founding, The Homeschool Classroom has played a major role in the transformation of Santa Fe homeschooling. We use multiple combined curriculums to provide individualized education plans for each attending student.  The Homeschool Classroom prioritizes social emotional learning, which helps kids to have successful skill acquisition and stay positive about their learning experiences.

The Homeschool Classroom embraces Multicultural and Humanistic Education practices and aims to maintain a diverse student community.  Whereas the families in New Mexico are comprised of a rich and varied cultural background, students benefit from embracing and valuing their diversity and unique lives. The Homeschool Classroom uses a set of strategies to teach about freedom, justice, opportunity and equality.   A true Multicultural classroom begins to address the balance of power and privilege within the education system itself.
